explain software package provides utility to explain system call errors, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install explain
explain is installed in your system.
Make ensure the explain package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep explain *
You will get with explain package name, version, architecture and description in a table
